Enterprise sponsorship & long-term engagement structure

A different kind of project

This engagement combines digital presence, commercial negotiation and a long-term sponsorship relationship. Unlike a conventional website project, the scope had to support a multi-year business relationship.

My role

I led the engagement, negotiated commercial terms, defined the engagement framework and translated the relationship into a sponsorship agreement with a clear initial roadmap.

01Understand objectives
02Structure the engagement
03Negotiate terms
04Define deliverables
05Create 3-month roadmap
06Manage ongoing relationship

The important project-management lesson

When the engagement lasts years, the initial scope should create structure without pretending that every future requirement is already known. A clear framework, decision rights and near-term roadmap provide enough control while preserving room to adapt.

Outcome

The engagement secured a 2–5 year enterprise partnership and established a structured commercial foundation for the longer-term relationship.
