Turning a local tournament idea into a digital community.

A brand, website and operating layer built around recurring billiards events and the people who play them.

A strong community needed infrastructure to match it.

Sports Community Platform began as a local billiards concept with a loyal following, but the operation depended heavily on manual coordination and word of mouth. There was no central website, no online registration flow and no consistent digital home for tournament information.

Before

Manual, local and fragmented

Players discovered events through community channels, registrations were harder to manage, and event information had no single destination.

Goal

Make the community easier to discover and operate

Build the brand, website and digital workflows around the tournament experience instead of treating the website as a standalone brochure.

Building the digital layer around the tournament.

The engagement combined brand, web, registration, community communication and event operations so each piece reinforced the others.

01 · BRANDVisual identity

Established the black-and-gold visual direction and tournament flyer that became the recognizable event identity.

02 · COMMUNITYFacebook as the hub

Turned the Facebook presence into the central communication channel for the growing local audience.

03 · OPERATIONSDigital pool setup

Configured digital scoring and pool-management infrastructure so results could be run and tracked more reliably.

04 · WEBCommunity-first website

Created a home for events, league information, player resources and sponsor visibility.

05 · REGISTRATIONOnline player sign-up

Moved registrations into the website, reducing reliance on spreadsheets and manual coordination.

06 · GROWTHFormat + marketing support

Supported tournament-format decisions and extended event awareness through email and cross-community promotion.

The impact was bigger than a website.

Community

A stronger digital home

The Facebook presence became a central communication channel for the growing billiards community.

Operations

Less manual coordination

Online registration and digital event infrastructure reduced friction around tournament participation and roster management.

Growth

A repeatable tournament platform

The brand moved from a word-of-mouth concept toward a recurring tournament operation with a stronger digital foundation.

My contribution

Digital delivery + community support

I helped connect the website, registration, social presence and event operations into one practical experience.

Why this project matters in my portfolio.

Sports Community Platform is a useful example of digital delivery where the outcome is not simply a new website. The website, community channel, registration flow and event tooling work together to make a recurring real-world operation easier to run and easier for players to find.

Project website omitted for client confidentiality.
